WEIGHT-LOSS PROBLEMS: The Pyramid that Changes Everything

COURSE INTRO: THE SIMPLE GUIDE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS

By Chad | Updated 6/20/2025

The image is of a pair of feet standing on a weight-scale.

I know you.

I know you. Because I was you. One day I woke up and found myself 330 lbs and miserable.

I started so many diets, but late-night greasy drive-thrus always got me (they built a McDonald’s next door to my house as some sort of sick cosmic joke). It's a meme. The caption says:

I’d stay on track for a few weeks… then slip. Then: I’d go completely off the rails.

I’d tell myself: “Well, I already blew it. Might as well eat everything now, because tomorrow it’s all off-limits.” Justifying my way into 3 donuts and shame.

Sound familiar?

I honestly thought I just lacked willpower. But the truth was: I had no clue what I was doing.

I had so many questions:

    • Should I focus on sugar?
    • Should I avoid bread?
    • Can I only drink water?
    • Are rice cakes my only snack food?

Every time I started a diet, people around me harassed me with “oh just be fat and happy.” No matter which diet I’d choose, people spat out a relentless chorus of “you’re doing it wrong.”

Like they knew how to lose weight, skinny jerks.

It took years of self-education to finally see some success. But guess what? I did it. Today, 5 years later, I weigh under 218 lbs and have ~15% body fat (I’m 6’4″). I lost 100 lbs that first year, and I’ve kept it off.

Once I learned the actual data, I could ignore my “friends” who told me all kinds of false things about weight loss. No, it’s not easy, but it’s also not complicated when you know the formula.

I’m dying to share it with you. I wish I could go back and find my discouraged self at 330 lbs and give him a hug and a hand up.  Because I know that kid can do it.

You can do it too. Don’t get discouraged. Let me walk you through it.

Rolling Back the BS

It's a cartoon of a woman running while smiling and wearing headphones.I’m tired of the constant storm of BS surrounding weight loss. People over-complicate everything and argue about things that don’t matter. Once you learn the weight-loss formula, it becomes fun.

Yes, I mean it. It becomes fun. Stepping on the scale and seeing progress is rewarding. Dropping pant sizes feels good. Tracking your food will become a game for you. I promise.

If your hunger for change is finally bigger than your hunger for sweets, you’re ready.

A few promises if you follow this plan:

  1. It won’t feel like you’re constantly starving – you’ll feel satisfied, and better than you did before the diet. In fact, when I first lost the weight, my stomach rarely felt empty.
  2. You can still eat delicious food – I don’t know if I’ve ever eaten a rice cake.
  3. Weight-loss will start to be fun – You’ll be shocked how much fun it is.
  4. You’ll feel better overall – Not only will you not feel constant hunger pain, but you’ll avoid more headaches and stomach aches. You’ll have more energy to do things. You’ll be happy with yourself for making a change.

Bottom line: it’s worth it, and you can do it. I promise.

It's a pyramid showing the different levels of weight-loss: Be in a calorie deficit, nail your macros (40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fats), create an exercise habit, seta a goal weight dates and milestones, count everything and feed your mind.

So, How Do You Lose Weight

The HealthkickHQ Weight-Loss Pyramid

There it is: That pyramid is the “secret sauce” to weight-loss. It’s not a secret, it’s simple science that anyone can understand.

This short and free course will take you through each step of the pyramid. In short, they are:

    • Step 1: Be in a Calorie Deficit – Consume fewer calories than you burn, you’ll lose weight. Period.
    • Step 2: Nail Your Macros – 40% Protein, 35% Fats, 25% Carbs.
    • Step 3: Count EVERYTHING – Don’t put anything in your mouth you don’t count.
    • Step 4: Build an Exercise Habit – Habit is the most important word.
    • Step 5: Celebrate Phases & Milestones – Setting goals and measuring progress builds momentum.
    • Step 6: Feed Your Mind – Equally as important as what you feed your body.

And that’s it. Learn each of these steps and you’ll lose weight. It’s that simple.
